In this month's ad, we celebrate the achievement of our team creating a piece of artwork as part of a Team Spirit Challenge. We started these events almost 10 years ago, thanks to the brilliant idea from my office manager, Cheryl Beck. We were amongst the February blah's when we decided we needed to do something to lift the spirits of the team with a fun, unexpected event.
In 2010, our 8th Team Spirit Challenge, we hired the renowned artist Maya Gohill who led us in "Pieces of the Puzzle" where the whole is more than the sum of its parts. We had a morning at Art Central in Calgary where we were given a small square of canvas and an outline of what we were to draw and then paint on the given square. When we were done, we combined all the parts to create this painting as a 'whole' and the delightful finished product is what you see in this months ad.
